“DJ Sezar started Dj-ing at the young age of only 15 years. He began with hip-hop & R’n’B and later with various Trance, Jazz and Latin house. Around 2003 with Salsa & other Latin music.
His first international DJ booking was in 2005 and since then has his reputation been rapidly increasing internationally. He is flexible and works with the floor and will give the dancers various improvised sets of music. His enjoyable, varied sets will keep you dancing all night long.
“I choose music with my eyes and my heart connected to the dance floor.
I play to move the floor as much as possible.
I don’t play for myself or individuals…. It’s all about the party and its people!!
Also importantly, I play for the present and the past musicians. God bless them all.
I have been blessed in my life long time ago to work with music. Dancing has been a part of my youth since I was 14. Back then with Hip Hop and some Break-dance moves… naturally giving me the feeling with the music I started early developing a strong passion for different genres…. stronger and stronger it all became and I started playing in some small parties close around my neighborhood.
I had a break from DJing later in about 4-5 years and then in the late 90’s when Trance House kicked in with a big popularity in Oslo, I adapted these new tunes and again found myself passionate of DJ’ing to these aggressive beats…. then further to Latin house tunes…. then another few years break occurred. I was thinking this part of my DJ life I can just put away and leave it be.
In 2001 I started learning some basic steps of Salsa… finding myself thrilled and mesmerized of this partner dance. I became addicted and later started to enjoy, purchase and collect this amazing music. Around 2004 I started to play around clubs and socials in Oslo, and my first international job was in Gothenburg in 2005. Not until 2009, first time outside Scandinavia at Warsaw Salsa Festival.
2010 – 4 festivals
2011 – 9 festivals
2013 – I had 26 flights internationally, playing at festivals or just weekend events/parties……. after that I simply stopped counting!!!
I feel very blessed that I continue working on with the music and make people enjoy it and dance. I always do my best to improve and work with music and dancers. Doesn’t matter if I’m playing in the Mambo, Cuban, Bachata or the after party room…. my goal is always to be flexible.
It has been taking years of various good and bad experiences and hard work, but it is not done….. I’m ready for more years to come and I will always look after and try to listen to peoples heart as best as possible from the DJ booth.
Love music, love dancing and never stop appreciating the musicians. “
