Sara Panero

Sara Panero is a Spanish dancer born in Salamanca (Spain) in 1993.
Trained since age 7 in different dance disciplines such as: classical ballet, contemporary dance, modern dance, hiphop.
At the age of 16 she began with Latin dances, salsa, bachata and kizomba.
At the age of 18, and having finished her high school studies in her hometown, Sara takes the entrance test for the Professional Conservatory of Dance Fortea (Madrid), to specialize in classical ballet.
After passing the test, she moved to Madrid.
Sara goes on to study 3 years at the dance conservatory, while also working and continuing her training in Latin rhythms.
She begins with her first dance partner Ronald Jara, with whom she competes representing Madrid in Africadançar (Lisbon) in 2012.
Months later she joined the “Bachatea Dance Company” and began to compete in bachata competitions at national level.
In September of 2012 Sara forms together with Marco Espejo the dance partnership that in that same year goes to win 2 national bachata competitions. They then create their own professional bachata company called ‘Esencia’.
In 2013 Marco and Sara are proclaimed 4 times national Bachata champions in the couple category and the following year (2014) national runners-up with their professional company ‘Esencia’.
In May 2014 Sara competes for the first time as a soloist in free salsa steps.
Marco and Sara’s partnership dissolves and in mid-2014 Sara is summoned for an audition in which she is finally chosen to be part of the professional company of the Prince of Salsa Johnnny Vazquez called “Aztec Empire”, and she moves to Milan (Italy) for 6 months.
In March 2015 Sara returns to Spain and continues with her solo choreographies and collaborates with her ex-bachata group “Esencia”.
In May 2015 Sara introduces herself as the new dance partner of Albir Rojas, to dedicate herself together with him to the world of Kizomba, as she began with her first partner.
‘Albir&Sara’ ended their collaboration in December 2016 to follow different professional paths.
Sara focuses on new projects and goals always based on her unconditional love for dance.
At the beginning of 2017, Marco & Sara return to their professional relationship with the goal of becoming one of the most recognized Bachata couples in the world with their unique and incomparable style.
Today, Marco & Sara continue to travel and teach internationaly at events all over the world, as well as teaching and managing their own online dance platform marcoysara.com.
In September of 2021 Marco & Sara inaugurate with their partner Marcos Romero their dance school in Madrid called Esencia Studios, a space of almost 1000m2 dedicated to dance and performing arts where they and their team teach classes on a regular basis in order to grow the community in quantity and above all, quality.
